The Greenhouse
We are passionate about growing a wide selection of healthy and strong varieties of annuals and perennials.
We are currently closed for winter.
7 Lewis Street, Hudson, Massachusetts
While Massachusetts lies quiet under winter snow, we’re hard at work planting in the greenhouses. All of our annuals, perennials, hanging baskets and mixed containers are grown right here at our farm in Hudson (a select few items like rose bushes are grown further south).
Our greenhouse doors open for the season to welcome customers on Patriots’ Day, Monday, April 20.
What we grow
-

Annuals
We grow over 100 varieties of annuals, most of which are sold in 4.5” pots and can be planted directly into garden beds or used in container gardens or window boxes.
-

Perennials
All perennials are grown and sold in gallon pots. We always carry the garden staples such as day lilies, bleeding hearts, hosta, astilbe (and many more) but we also switch up some of the less common varieties to add variety to your garden from year to year.
-

Container Gardens & Hanging Baskets
Each year we plant mixed baskets (both hanging and planter containers) with over 30 combinations that can accommodate sun, part sun, and shady conditions.
We have been honing our process for growing mixed baskets and containers for many years—they’re hand trimmed twice, spaced, and fertilized with precision resulting in showstopper quality.
-

Vegetables & Herbs
It’s typically safe to begin planting vegetables and herbs in the earth by May 20 when the danger of frost has passed. Vegetable plants for sale include kale, portuguese kale, cucumbers, summer squash, zucchini squash, peppers of all types, broccoli and cauliflower.
Annual herbs available include basil, parsley, cilantro, dill and chives. Perennial herbs are available include mint, rosemary, oregano, thyme, and lavender.
Return Policy
We do not accept any returns on plants. Our plants are grown here on site where we have been taking care of them for approximately three months. They leave here healthy. Plants require varying levels of soil fertility, water, sun, fertilizer, and dead heading to thrive. We are happy to help with advice on how to care for plants but once they leave our farm they are the responsibility of the buyer.
